Welcome to Westchester Correction Officers Benevolent Association, Inc. official website. Our organization was formed in 1980, and currently has 750 members. Unbeknown to many Westchester residents, we are the largest law enforcement agency in Westchester County.

The duties of Correction Officers are a major factor in the maintenance of the safety and security of all persons throughout the state of New York. Just as the police investigate crime, the District Attorney prosecutes crime, the courts try persons charged with a crime, the Correction Officer secures the safety of the public from persons charged with or convicted of a crime. Despite the significance of the duties of Correction Officers in the criminal justice system, the American public does not hold us in the same esteem comparable to that of other persons enrolled in other law enforcement agencies.
Along with providing updated and relevant information to our membership, our website will be devoted to helping the public understand the true nature of our duties and our role in providing public safety.
In addition to our duties as law enforcement officers, we provide services to Westchester residents, such as our Childrens Safety and Identification Program. Information regarding this program, as well as other public relation events, will be detailed on our website.
